Hi Carol and Dick,

Well you must be near the end of your journey to Key West. What a wonderful adventure you have had together. I have enjoyed your great naratives and will miss them. Do hope you can adjust back to your life at home and that you will not be bored! How are you traveling to Bottony Bay? Have a blessed Thanksgiving.

Congratulations with love and hugs,

Hi travelers,

You should be in Key West by now, or close to it. I have really enjoyed your trip commentary on the blog, and following your route helps me feel more connected to you. What a great bonding experience to have together, even the "bad" motels will be remembered fondly with time! I will be curious to hear how Key West has changed in forty years, but I bet they still serve Key lime pie! Maybe you could take a break from root beer floats for awhile! I'm just happy that your trip has been so positive and eventful. Do you look forward to swinging your legs off the bicycle for the last time? I hope your family allows you to sit back and relax for Thanksgiving dinner. At any rate, we will definitely be thinking of you gathering around the table, giving thanks for many things. We will be 21 for Thanksgiving dinner at our house, our largest group thus far. Yes, some will be hanging from the ceiling! Hopefully, the weather will be much like this past week and the beginning of this week. Perfect!! And I hope that's how this finds you both. I send my love (Bob too) and good thoughts for a momentous and safe final leg of your journey and your trip home. We all miss you, so get home soon!

Love,

Sheila

Laughed 'til tears about the nudist camp and the jilted jitney! What a great blog!

Dave and Denise came down today (Sunday) and went over with us to help out at Matt and Sarah's. Denise has broken her wrist (fell) but she was so helpful keeping Lucy occupied, and Dave worked his butt off helping me build the closet systems and hooking up the washer and dryer.

Can you take some extra days and wait to meet us in Key West on the 23rd, and return here on Tuesday, the 25th? Thanksgiving still on at D&D's. Bill doing great.
Love, M.

Are you going to eat at Mrs. Wilkes' Boarding House in Savannah? Willard Scott often mentioned it on the Today Show. I ate there many years ago and it was great.

Hi you two,

What a wonderful trip you are having! Each time we read another episode of your travels, we think of all the memories you are accumulating, and the great thing is that you are doing it together. Both of you have the gift of writing so it makes reading much more interesting and enjoyable.

You are certainly making amazing distance progress. It's hard to believe that you are almost in Florida and have been on the road for two months. It sounds like there is great variety in your days, from staying at fancy highrise hotels with family to lodging in hostels, and traveling on backroads where you may suddenly come across a root beer float! Hopefully the weather will hold out and rains won't deter you too much, but those are the days of remembrance.

We think of you often and it's encouraging to hear first hand that you are doing well. We will see a play at the B Street Theatre tomorrow night, so will think of you again. Last week we spent four days in Ashland, so we are getting our share of acting. The area in and around Ashland was beautiful with colorful trees, and we wondered if you are getting a taste of that too.

All seems fine with the Italians in your house. Gabriella and Emilia are returning home on the first, so Francisco apparently will stay on until your return.

Stay dry and keep having the time of your lives. We miss you and look forward to hearing all the stories.

Much love,

Sheila and Bob

I finally caught up with you guys! It took a not-so-busy Sunday afternoon and both kids napping at the same time to read through the entire blog.

Naturally, it rekindled the wanderlust that is apparently a Bourne/Waldau trait. The big question is, how old do the kids need to be before we can through Elisa on an Alley Cat and Nathan in the Burley and head off toward the next exotic destination? Not soon enough. For now, we must live vicariously through your adventures.

Keep having fun, and keep the updates coming!

Love,
Ben (and big hellos from Beth, Elisa and Nathan, too)
